Q. Because I'm thinking of taking one of them for A level, but I'm not totally sure how they're different. Asked by Apple - Mon Dec 8 15:36:11 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Regular biology focuses on all plants, animals, and other forms of life (such as fungi, archaea, protista, and monera), and even studies nonliving organisms, such as viruses. Human biology is appropriate for people who want careers in the health sciences, such as nursing or allopathic medicine, since it focuses primarily, if not exclusively, on the human body. If you are interested in veterinary medicine, you probably want to skip human biology. If you are interested in medical school, then you should at least take "normal" biology, and you may want to add human biology. In either case, "normal" biology is highly recommended, and should be a prerequisite for human biology.
